Make sure you’re taking care of your health!

University can be a lot to manage. You’re expected to attend classes, study, complete assessment, maintain a social life, work, and sleep?

So, it’s important you take good care of yourself and your health.

If you’re starting to feel a bit under the weather, see a doctor. Did you know Griffith has a Health and Medical Service on campus? Convenient, right?

There’s a Health and Medical Clinic at both Nathan and Gold Coast campuses. And all students with Medicare cards are bulk-billed, so no need to fret about fees! You can even book your appointment online (#handy).

It’s important to take care of your mental headspace, as well as your body, though. If you are feeling overwhelmed or down, take a look at Griffith’s Counselling and Wellbeing Service. Again, services are bulk-billed for students with a Medicare card, and so easy to access.

Griffith counsellors offer understanding, useful tools and new perspectives on personal, relationship, study or work-related problems, which can have a positive impact on mental and emotional health and academic success.

You can book an appointment in person on-campus or online via video chat, or email a counsellor at Find out more information at the counselling and wellbeing appointments page.

There are also a bunch of self-help resources, as well as workshops and training sessions, to help you maintain a good headspace during your studies.
