Learning@Griffith: the essentials for week one

Have you accessed Learning@Griffith yet? Learning@Griffith is the University’s online and teaching environment where you find your lecture notes, course readings, lecture recordings, and so much more.

If you are feeling overwhelmed trying to navigate your way around the system, here’s the essentials.

Each one of your courses has a course site in Learning@Griffith. To get there, simply login to Learning@Griffith, and select your course under My Courses and Organizations.

Typically, this will take you to a page with My Announcements, My Tasks, What’s New and items To Do. But each course site is different so don’t panic if you can’t see this.

To find your lecture notes, you will need to click Course Content (in the left-hand navigation menu). Your Course Content is mostly broken down by teaching weeks (it’s Week One, right now).  Just click the relevant week to access all resources for that period.

Also, check here for course readings and lecture recordings. If you can’t find them, see if there’s a link in the left navigation menu. Lecture Capture technology allows lecturers to make digital recordings of course material and deliver it to you via your Learning@Griffith course site.  Find out more about this service on the Lecture Capture web page.

Head to the Learning@Griffith for students web page for further help with accessing and navigating Learning@Griffith. If you have a question about the system, you can Ask Us (online answers to heaps of student FAQ’s) or ring the IT Service Centre.
