Do you have a burning question for library staff?

Of course, you do. There are just so many things they can help you with – printing, computing, researching, borrowing… The list is seemingly endless.

But maybe you aren’t in the library and you loathe speaking to faceless staff on the phone (they have faces obviously; you just can’t see them).

Well, do we have some awesome news for you. You can now make FREE video calls to library staff using Jabber Guest.

How do you access this amazing new service? Simply log in to MyGriffith, click Study Support, and you’ll find Video call the Library listed under Contacts.

If this is your first time using Jabber Guest, it will prompt you to install a plugin or app. It’s really quick (and painless, we promise). If it doesn’t, check out the Jabber Guest Self Help page. It has super helpful installation instructions.

The Jabber Guest application is completely free to use on campus. When you are off-campus, the application uses your personal internet account to download video data which may incur data download fees.

You can use Jabber Guest on a desktop computer or laptop (e.g. Mac or Windows), and a mobile device (e.g. mobile phone or tablet). You will require a camera and microphone-enabled device to use this service.
