Start your Monday on a high-note

Dang Monday’s can be hard! But we have a little sweetener for you…

We are bringing some beats to the Queensland College of Art Library at 1pm today. It might not cure your Mondayitis but it could definitely remedy it!

After all, they say music is good for the soul and can help increase your mood.

Drum roll please… today we have a whole swag of students from the Queensland Conservatorium coming along to show their musical prowess.

Our informants say today’s performance will feature flutes, clarinets, oboes, french horns, violins, cellos, violas, double basses and our personal favourite, a bassoon.

The one-hour performance will include two quintets, which is a musical group with five members (just like Jackson 5).

So head to the QCA library from 1pm to support your fellow-students. We promise you’ll walk away in the perfect study mood.

Across Semester 1 and 2 students from Queensland Conservatorium-Griffith University (QCGU) are visiting each campus library for our Music in the Library series.

This exciting innovation aims to enliven our campus library spaces and give QCGU students a chance to build valuable performance experience.
