Remember this…

Can you believe 2015 is almost over? With 2016 just around the corner we thought we’d give you a refresher on what the Library got up to over the past 12 months.

  • Market days

We love getting out and meeting new and continuing students at the campus Market Days. Our Library and Information Services Team head to the Market Days across Griffith’s campuses to share important info and offer fantastic give aways. So remember to come visit us in the New Year with any questions or queries you have (dates coming soon)!

  • Library Shelfie

jaebin97 copyOur annual Library Shelfie comp was better than ever in 2015 with over 40 entries and some crazy creative photos that showcased just how talented Griffith’s library lovers were. The social media comp winner took home an uber-cool Apple Watch with this awesome pic. A big thanks to all our entries. We hope to see your faces, and new ones, on our Instagram next year.

  • Library Blog – 43,000 views and counting…

In 2015 the Library blog knocked it outta the park with more article views than seats at Brisbane’s Gabba stadium! The blog is regularly updated and aims to offer students useful Library and IT info. If there is something you’d like to know more about in 2016, comment below and we’ll do our best to keep you up-to-date!

  • Storytime at Mt Gravatt Library

Since Mt GravIMG_5092att’s story time was launched in June, we’ve had a monthly injection of cuteness on the Library Blog. From live bats to book week, the community initiative between Yarranlea Public School and the Library has been a huge success for all involved! We can’t wait to welcome the primary school kids back again in 2016.

  • Love My Library

The Love My Library campaign was a fantastic insight into just how much you love your library spaces and services. It also saw the beginnings of Music in the Library series that will kick-off in March next year, with 12 performances across all Griffith campuses.

  • myGriffith

Screen Shot 2015-12-17 at 3.03.49 pmArguably everyone’s favourite 2015 moment has been the launch of myGriffith the new student portal! Within only a few days of its launch thousands of Griffith students had already checked out their one-stop-shop for their timetables, course info, messages, events and of course great library resources.

From Friday 25 December the Library will be taking a short break. But don’t worry we’ll see you in the New Year when we’re ready to do it all again – but better!
