System Maintenance – Sunday 29 September

  • Interruptions to email, Internet, Portal and more: Sunday 29 September, 6am – 7pm

Planning on hitting the books this Sunday? We’ve got some pretty serious IT tests happening, so many of the systems and services you use will be interrupted, including:

  • Connection to the Internet
  • Staff and student email
  • Staff and student file services
  • Learning@Griffith (including Lecture Capture)
  • Library systems
  • Griffith University websites and associated applications
  • Griffith Portal and associated applications
  • Login to Griffith University Services
  • PeopleSoft – Student Admin, HR/Payroll, Research, Finance and associated applications
  • Citrix desktop and VDI
  • SharePoint
  • VOIP

The Gold Coast, Mount Gravatt and Nathan libraries will remain open as normal. The interruptions are part of the annual Griffith IT disaster recovery test, which ensures the University’s key information systems can be recovered and continue to operate in the event of a disaster. Thank you for your patience this Sunday.

Perhaps overnight would have been a better choice for this maintenance.

      Hi Kris,
Unfortunately our annual Disaster Recovery Testing had to be done during the day. We certainly make every effort to schedule maintenance for times which minimise adverse impacts on our users. Thanks for your patience yesterday.
      Cheers,
      Vivien – Griffith Library
