It’s all happening in the library during O Week!Posted: February 18, 2013
It’s O Week everyone! Time to get your UNI on!
This is about the time when I extend a huge WELCOME! to all of our new students, and a huge WELCOME BACK! to all of our returning students. We’re so happy to see you at Griffith for 2013!
Here in the library we’ve got some pretty amazing resources available, all designed to help you get the most out of your time at uni. I would suggest you start with having a look at Study Smart, and if you haven’t already, check out the workshops and training sessions that we are running (not only this week, but throughout the semester).
During O Week, you will find library tours running in every campus library. The details are as follows:
|Campus||Orientation Week||Week 1|
|Nathan Library||10am-2pm daily
|Gold Coast Parklands Library||10:30am-1:30pm daily
|Mt Gravatt Library||12 noon-2pm daily|
|Logan Library||12 noon-2pm daily|
|South Bank – College of Art and Conservatorium of Music Libraries||12 noon-2pm daily|
Our Library and IT Help Superheroes will also be hosting tables at each Market Day, so make sure you seek them out and ask them all your burning questions (or just, you know, shoot the breeze. They love a good chat!). And if you haven’t already, make sure you follow the library twitter (@GriffithLibrary). It might just cause you to win big! The Library and IT Help tables at Market Days will be able to give you more information about prizes and competitions. 🙂
For more information about O Week activities in the library, visit the library orientation webpage. Throughout the year we will keep you up to date with library resources and news here on the library blog, too, so check back regularly!
For now, I bid you Happy O Week! And may the library resources be ever in your favour!
