Nathan library construction Sept 27-Oct 4Posted: September 22, 2010
Your library is changing, but opening hours stay the same.
From Monday September 27 stage two works will begin on your library at Nathan. All services offered from the copying and printing counter are now available at the library and IT help counter in the foyer. We’ll be relocating the printers, copiers and quick access computers from the copying room to the collaboration zone sometime next week too. Keep an eye on the blog and on the client information kiosk for updates.
We’ll also begin moving the library print collections to their new home in the library extension, levels 2 and 3. New quiet study spaces will be available on level 2 and level 3 of the library extension from Monday morning, September 27. Follow the signs or ask one of the library staff for directions!
If that’s not enough excitement, demolition will begin on the pedestrian bridge that links Central Theatres with the library as part of the N76 construction. Demolition will take place within an exclusion zone surrounded by full height hoarding. Access to the library and the external returns chutes will be maintained at all times. It will be noisy and dusty work though – don’t forget to grab a pair of earphones from the client information kiosk if they will help.
No ‘Demo a doughnut’ promotion next week but we’ll see you at the kiosk on Wednesday, October 6 to hand out free doughnuts and to answer your questions. See you soon.
