Nathan library construction – stage two works begin

Stage one of the library construction and refurbishment project is almost complete with handover scheduled for Friday, September 24.

On Saturday, September 25 library staff will begin relocating books and other collections into the new extension. Keep an eye out for regular news updates here and at the client information kiosk in the foyer. We’ll keep you informed about what we’re relocating and when – and how we’re maintaining collection access for you.

From Friday, September 20 the copying and printing services counter will relocate services to the lending services counter in the foyer. This is a permanent relocation, meaning the lending services counter is now a one stop shop for all your library, IT help and copying and printing needs.

More news about activity in the library from September 27 when the copying and printing room will be relocated, along with external works to demolish the pedestrian bridge that currently joins central theatres and the library building. You can still find the library down the hoarding tunnel that will be installed for your safety – and return your library material in the same place. Don’t forget, for easy access you can also return library material to the easy access returns chute (the Big Red Bin) at the bus stop.

Look forward to catching up with you for a free doughnut at ‘Demo a doughnut’ on Wednesday morning at 10am in the library foyer. See you soon!
