N53 Nathan library – demolition continues

Further very noisy works are scheduled this week from 6.30am on Thursday, July 22 to 4.00pm on Sunday, July 25. Concrete cutters will be used to cut the external concrete panels on level 2 which will then be removed by the electric crane. Areas affected will include collection and quiet study space on level 2 with medium to high level noise also on level 1 collection space, collaboration space, the research zone and commonuse computing.

We are aware that this noise will be disruptive to normal activity in the library and apologise for the inconvenience. Earplugs are available from the client information kiosk and the lending services counter if you think they will help!

These four days will see the last of these  high impact demolition works to this particular area of the library.

Take a look at photos of the construction team during their previous concrete cutting works:

Remember to come and visit your library on Wednesday, July 28 when ‘Demo a doughnut’ will begin again for semester two. Look forward to seeing you then!
