Griffith has gone Google

Gmail is coming for students

Griffith University (through Information Services), in collaboration with Google, are implementing a range of Google Applications for students.

As a Griffith student you will have access to

  • Gmail account
  • 7.4Gb quota
  • New email address
  • Google Calendar
  • Google Contacts
  • Google Talk (a chat application).

If you are graduating from 2010 you will have your Gmail account for life!

When do you get your Gmail account?

Google Apps will be gradually rolled out from January 2010, with commencing students automatically receiving a new Gmail account.

During Semester 1 other student groups will be invited to opt-in to receive their Gmail account and all remaining students will receive their account by the end of July.

Google Docs and Google Mobile Apps are also scheduled to be introduced to all students by the end of July.
